Ernie Halter website. Ernie Halter is a soul-infused singer/songwriter, a guy who's been influenced as much by Lennon/McCartney as he has by Otis Redding. Born in Inglewood, CA, raised in Orange County, Ernie Halter grew up during a short but important technological era - "The Cassette Generation" - with a collection that included the Beatle's Abbey Road, Billy Joel's Glass Houses, and Elton John's Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. During his college years, a friend made him a mix tape of Stevie Wonder's greatest hits, which he played over and over until he knew every note.
Halter began taking piano lessons at age 8, and at the coaxing of a friend, he played his first official gig at a coffee shop in Newport Beach when he was 17. After working as a musician-for-hire, Halter realized a few years ago that it was time to do his own thing: "I just decided that if I was going to be a songwriter, I was going to have to set that goal and just do it. I couldn't wait for the opportunity; I had to create it for myself."
Captain Jen 'Woodwind' says, "This
will be an incredible brunch cruise! This will be Ernie's second time singing and sailing aboard. He is funny and he has some great stories. Tony Lucca is absolutely wonderful! They both have soulful music and brand new albums that have songs for everyone! I became an instant fan of both musicians, and the fact that they are touring together is amazing! I am so psyched that they will be performing
aboard. You just have to see them. "
Tony Lucca website. Raised in Waterford, Michigan, Lucca began singing at age 3; by 12 he was writing and playing in Detroit-area bands. As a teen, he lived in Orlando, Florida, where he worked for four seasons on the Disney Channel’s “Mickey Mouse Club” alongside such future superstars as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and *Nsync’s Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez. Lucca went the Internet route and sold his first two independent releases through his own website. His first commercially distributed album, “Shotgun,” arrived in 2004. It was succeeded by his Rock Ridge Music debut “Canyon Songs” (2006) and “Come Around Again” (2008). His songs have been featured on TV’s “Friday Night Lights,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Shark” and “Felicity” and in Kevin Costner’s feature “Open Range.” He has been seen on E! Entertainment Television and A&E, and performed numerous times on NBC’s “Last Call With Carson Daly.” Over the course of his career, Lucca has shared stages with *Nsync, Marc Anthony, Macy Gray, Johnny Lang, and the late Chris Whitley. His 2009 dates included an opening stint with Bareilles, gigs with Tyrone Wells, and a cooperative tour with Jay Nash and Matt Duke (which resulted in “TFDI,” a collaborative EP recorded at SPACE in Evanston, Illinois, and released by Rykodisc in late 2009).
